He was born on a Wisconsin dairy farm and have had a love for agriculture and the outdoors ever since. Before starting grad school he spent most of his time working for various beef cattle producers and operating a landscaping business. Since finishing his undergraduate studies, He has developed a strong interest in capital markets and tax policy but have not left his love of agriculture behind. Working as the economist for the TN Department of Revenue takes up the majority of his time but he continue to pursue research opportunities in agriculture and timberland.
