Glomerulonephritis

Glomerulonephritis (gloe-mer-u-low-nuh-FRY-tis) is inflammation of the small filters in your kidneys (glomeruli). Glomeruli remove excess fluid, electrolytes & waste from your bloodstream & pass them into your urine. Glomerulonephritis can come on suddenly or gradually.

Glomerulonephritis occurs on its own or as a part of another disease, like lupus or diabetes. Severe or prolonged inflammation related to glomerulonephritis can damage your kidneys. Treatment depends on the sort of glomerulonephritis you've got .

Glomerulonephritis (GN) is inflammation of the glomeruli, which are structures in your kidneys that are made from tiny blood vessels. These knots of vessels help filter your blood and take away excess fluids. If your glomeruli are damaged, your kidneys will pack up properly, and you'll enter renal failure .Sometimes called nephritis, GN may be a serious illness which will be life-threatening and requires immediate treatment. GN are often both acute, or sudden, and chronic, or long-term. This condition wont to be referred to as nephritis.
