In 2014 he taught himself to make his daughter’s prosthetic eye. I now design, Manufacture & fit prosthetic eyes for people of all ages who have suffered eye loss from trauma & disease. In 2017 I trained under a worldrenowned Ocularist & former head trainer at Moorefield eye Hospital London, John Pacey- Lowrie. In 2017 Google America made a documentary about the journey I had with my family and the steps taken to teach myself to make Liberty’s eye. Since 2017 Oculus Prosthetics has provided treatment to many clients from all around the world. Throughout the journey, I became aware of the disconnection between the removal of patients’ eyes and seeing them in my clinic. I would like to present my Documentary which is Five Minutes long. Then talk about From Eye Removal to the Ocularist, The patient’s journey. I have designed a program, which is a Personalised Eye Health Plan that I use for all of my clients who require more information or who have just had an eye removed. There is quite often a large gap in the information given from surgery to seeing an Ocularist.
