Abstract :

By the year 2050 our global food system must feed an additional three billion people: two billion more due to population growth plus the one billion currently undernourished. After years of decline world hunger is on the rise. Due to climate change, wars and the inefficient use of food resources world hunger has increased for the first time in fifteen years. We need to address food security at the core. It is entirely possible to eliminate hunger and to feed a world of ten billion people well with existing agricultural capacity. Our presentation will focus on the efficient allocation and use of food resources.
