Abstract :

??Nose Reshaping? is inappropriately called ??Non Surgical Rhinoplasty?, it is one of the areas more difficult to treat with dermal fillers. As usual we can perform to complete a Surgical Rhinoplasty, to correct a little remaining over bone deficit by filling a little area. In the last year the treatment of the Prophiloplasty only with fillers by the improvement of the Nose and the Chin properly has became more and more frequent. Ellanse is the first choice among fillers to use, to correct the nose in consideration of its softness, long lasting and natural results with final complete reabsorption. Anatomy: The nose triangle is the middle of the face where a little modification give us a big turn up. Useful to the foregoing model is the concept of the nose as a system of two interrelated layers. We are interested in the outer layer like a knit elastic sleeve, slides over the entire investing nasal skin plus alar cartilages and their associated lining. Injection technique: Prior to treatment, the patient should be fully assessed and consented to the procedure. Excluding a Rhinoplasty procedure in the next five years, point out any pre-existing asymmetries, advise patients that specific cheek lines or smile lines may not completely disappear following treatment and discuss the procedure, anesthesia (local infiltration or Troncular Block) and any potential adverse effects. Ensure good, standardized before and after pictures are taken. Subdermal/ subcutaneous plane are quite free and painless. Ellanse should be injected using a retrograde linear threading technique involving fanning or pyramidal way only in the supra-periosteal layer. The cannula or needle tip should remain in the skin whilst fanning. Each thread injected should consist of 0.05-0.1ml and the total volume on each side will usually be between 0.5-1ml. Following treatment, cleanse the skin and gently massage. Provide appropriate aftercare instructions and arrange a follow up appointment. Case Study: 49 year old patient, no previous dermal filler treatment with a deficit of nasal bone projection.
