Abstract :

Recently, visible-light photoredox catalysis has been proven as a powerful and environmental tool to initiate a variety of organic reactions, including cyclizations, C-H functionalizations by using visible-light and Ru-, Ir-complexes, or organic dyes as photoredox catalysts.[1] It is well known that, among renewable energy sources, sunlight is the largest energy source. By using sunlight would solve the energy crisis and the drawbacks of traditional photochemical reactions which use UV light. Herein, we wish to report a number of organic transformations initiated by visible-light.
